CWGF at Duxford Battle of Britain Air Show

The Duxford Battle of Britain Air Show commemorates and celebrates the gallant efforts of the few and the many who protected British skies in the summer of 1940.

Between June and September of that year, the skies over Britain saw daring dog fights play out as the RAF defended the home nations from Luftwaffe assault.

To remember the heroic efforts of the pilots and support crews involved in the Battle of Britain, our friends at Imperial War Museum Duxford arrange this special weekend to mark the battle’s anniversary.

Once again, the sounds of Spitfires, Hurricanes, and more period planes will roar over the UK. Air displays, fly-bys and much more is planned, so if you’re a history enthusiast like us, you’ll want to be there.

Duxford Battle of Britain Air Show takes place between September 10-11^th 2022.

The Commonwealth War Graves Foundation will be there for both days of this brilliant event.

We commemorate many men and women who gave their lives during this crucial World War Two battle. Our team will be on hand to showcase the work we and the Commonwealth War Graves Commission do in keeping their memories alive.
