CWGF Christmas cards now on sale

Just like that, Christmas 2021 is here!

For the first time, the Commonwealth War Graves Foundation (CWGF) are selling their very own Christmas cards.

One pack features 6 cards with 2 exclusive photos of our cemeteries in Winter: Shotley Royal Naval Cemetery, United Kingdom and Bedford House Cemetery, Belgium.

Dirk Debleu, a driver for the CWGC based in Ieper, says that he goes past Bedford House Cemetery almost every day for work.

‘’Bedford House is, in my humble opinion, one of the most beautiful sites in the region. The way the cemetery is designed- the architecture, the moat that used to be round the Castle that was built there- it all makes it a beautiful resting place for the brave men who gave their lives for our freedom.

I recommend that anyone who visits the region to certainly visit Bedford House Cemetery.’

Dirk also remembers the time he took the photo we featured on our Christmas cards:

‘’When I saw what the weather conditions were like, I knew it would give an extra feeling to any photo of the cemetery. I took my camera and jumped in my car to go there.’’
