Our Second Members Day: A Recap

On Wednesday 25th October, we were delighted to welcome members back to our Head Office in Maidenhead to say a big thank you to them for their ongoing support - some travelling from as far as New Zealand!

‘’I thoroughly enjoyed the whole day!’’

Members were treated to talks on various aspects of the work of the Commission: Horticulture, UKNA Operations, Outreach and Education, and Archives.

The day sped by with how much fun was being had – the opportunity for members to meet one another, the conversations between staff and members, and with how much was learnt from the talks.

Although difficult to pick a highlight moment, like last year the activity proved to be highly engaging for all.

This year, the focus was on the Menin Gates Moments exhibition, with artwork designed by Tom Clohosy Cole.

Members were invited to examine the artwork and place it in chronological order and then think of a name for each piece.

Afterwards, members were treated to some secrets into how closely the team paid to the detail of each piece.

We would like to thank all of our members who made the journey to Maidenhead for a wonderful day and for their continuing support to the Foundation.

Watch this space to see what happens at the Members Day next year.

Want to be at next year’s Members Day? You’ll need to be a member!
