The CWGF Calendar Competition is live!
Calling all shutterbugs! The Commonwealth War Graves Foundation Calendar competition is open for entries.
The CWGF Calendar Competition
This is the third year we are running our calendar competition, encouraging amateur photographers to go out and about and snapshots of our cemeteries and memorials. The prize? Getting their images into our calendar, which is sold via our shop.
The response was so good we’re doing it all over again!
We’d like to invite all photographers to take part in this year’s competition. Here’s how you can get involved.
Entering the CWGF Calendar Competition
This year’s theme is Nature. We want to see all your snaps of wildlife in and around Commonwealth War Graves Commission cemeteries and memorials.
If you spot a frisky fox dodging between the headstones, some serious blooming of the wildflowers decorating a cemetery, or birds soaring over a memorial, get your camera out and start snapping.
Once you think you’ve captured the perfect shot, upload it to our website via the Calendar Competition page.
The maximum file size is 25MB. We kindly ask you to submit images with an appropriate resolution for print. 300dpi is the publishing industry standard for printed images.
Your entry or entries will then slot into our gallery so the whole world can see them.
Up to 13 lucky winners will be chosen by our panel of judges. There is no limit to the amount you can enter so you have plenty of chances to win.
The contest is now open for entries. It will close on August 31st – so get out there and start snapping away.
Winning entries will be announced in September. Each winner will receive a copy of the calendar.
Show us your photos!
So, what are you waiting for? Grab your camera, head to your nearest CWGC site, and shoot away. We can’t wait to see all your entries.
