Walking our War Graves: Normandy starts today!

Our virtual walking challenge, Walking our War Graves: Normandy goes live today!

Across the world, hundreds of history enthusiasts will be strapping on their walking boots, hopping on their bikes, diving in the pool, or just getting out and about.

Why? To virtually cover 95km of Normandy countryside through a specially plotted war graves trail.

Starting at Ranville War Cemetery, the route covers the territory between Commonwealth War Graves Commission war cemeteries commemorating those who died in the Second World War. Milestones include cemeteries in Bayeux and around Caen before the walk ends at Banneville-la-Campagne War Cemetery.

Everyone walking, running, or tackling the route their own way will also be helping support our work too. Last year, we raised over £20,000 which we put towards existing projects and new initiatives.

There’s still time to sign up! So if you fancy getting out and about in the name of a good cause, sign up before it’s too late!
