WALKING OUR WAR GRAVES: THE WESTERN FRONT – REGISTER NOW!

Walking Our War Graves: The Western Front has made a triumphant return. Following the incredible response from participants and donors in September 2021, our team have been working hard to bring this route back once again.  

Starting at Thiepval Memorial to the Missing of the Somme, walk or cycle the 125km distance to the Ypres (Menin Gate Memorial) with many CWGC cemeteries and memorials to discover along the Western Front.  

Complete this distance any way you would like, and from anywhere in the world as you virtually travel along the Western Front. Create a team with your family, friends, work colleagues, or just track your own route while out and about over the weekend, on your daily walk or during a family cycle ride. What a perfect way to kick off the summer months!  

Uploads to your interactive map can be done manually or through the Strava app. Please see the “Connecting to Strava” section below for more information. 

This route is open to the public from 19th June 2023 until February 2024, so you can goals on how fast you would like to complete the distance, or just take it at a more leisurely pace – the decision is up to you!
